Homework: There will be 8 to 10 homework assignments, due Friday at noon. Homework may be submitted in lecture or delivered to the EngrI 1120 mail box. Late work will not be graded. Solutions will be posted and will be discussed in the calculation sessions.

Examinations: There will be two preliminary examinations:

Thursday, November 21, 7:30-9:30 p.m., 216, 218, and 245 Olin Hall

Exams are open-book; the textbook, homework, calculation sessions, and any material distributed in class.

No make-up exams are scheduled. A student that misses an exam without an official university excuse or medical excuse will be penalized.

Final Exam: Friday, December 20, 2:00-4:30 p.m.
Grading: The final grade will reflect performance on homework, preliminary exams, and the final exam, with the following weighting:

  Homework 15%
  Course Participation 5%
  Preliminary Examinations 50%
  Final Examination 30%
